IBC Container Mixers from I.B. Engineering
Portable & Fixed Mount Mixers
Euromixers range of Portable and Fixed Mount Mixers have been designed to cover a wide variety of applications on open or closed top vessels.

Using the IBC as a mixing vessel ensures consistent product quality and offers significant cost savings on transfer and cleaning time.
Portable electric or pneumatic (Air) drive offer a cost-effective solution for small batch mixing applications where versatility is essential.
Direct or gear drive portable mixers can be clamp-on or cup plate mounted on the tank rim or on a suitable structure over the tank, the unique vertical and horizontal shaft axis adjustment enables the mixer to be used on different size tanks and to achieve optimum flow patterns in the tank, thus eliminating dead spots and ensuring consistent product uniformity and quality.
Features Include:
- Lightweight aluminum housing
- Compact robust design
- Standard metric electric or pneumatic (dry or lubricated) motors
- Electric motors with Integral Electronic Variable Speed Drives
- Multi-directional mounting for horizontal and vertical adjustment
- Clamp or Cup plate mounting for increased stability
2” – Bung hole mounting for 210 litre drums – with folding impeller - 316 stainless steel shaft and impeller
Portable Mixers
Direct drive portable clamp-on mixers are a popular choice and offer effective and economical solutions for mixing low viscosity products and are available with electric or pneumatic (air) motors.
Gear drive portable mixers are an ideal choice for small batch mixing applications where versatility is essential to effectively mix a broad range of products with different SG and viscosities are available with electric or pneumatic (air) motors.
Portable mixers are supplied with a high efficiency axial flow impeller suitable for low to medium viscosity products.
Other Impeller types are also available including radial flow, saw tooth, E-200 folding Impellers and E-400 impellers

Applications
Portable mixers are suitable for a broad variety of applications including:
- General Chemical Makeup and Storage tanks
- Dye dissolving
- Paint tinting
- Lime makeup and storage
- Polyelectrolyte dissolving
- Adhesive mixing
Fixed mount mixers for open tanks are designed mounting on beams or a suitable support structure over the tank, in baffled tanks the mixer is normally mounted in the centre or in un-baffled tanks vertically off centre or angled off centre.
Fixed Mount Mixers
Direct or gear drive mixers are expertly configured for your application. Open tank mixers are provided with a square baseplate or angle risers for mounting directly to support beams or a suitable structure over the tank, electric motors are IP55 and can be supplied with drip covers for use outdoors.
- Standard metric electric or pneumatic (dry or lubricated) motors
- Easy installation
- Low maintenance
- Full range of Impellers
- Shaft and impeller 316 stainless steel (other materials and shaft coatings available)
- Low headroom option available for tight spaces
Open Tank Models
Direct or gear drive mixers are expertly configured for your application.
Closed tank mixers mount directly onto the tank with Plate flange (ATM pressure) ANSI or DIN flanges and can be supplied with simple, cost effective sealing options including a low cost Lip seal or Single Dry Running mechanical seal mounted on the mixer flange. The shaft and impeller type will be configured for optimum process performance for batch or continuous applications.
Closed Tank Models
The single Dry running mechanical seal is specifically designed for mixer duty and is available in a wide range of seal face, elastomer and alloy combinations, to suit individual applications.
- Standard metric electric or pneumatic (dry or lubricated) motors
- Mounting flange ANSI or DIN
- Dry running single mechanical seal with – Hygienic options
- Double mechanical seals
- Optional shaft support collar to facilitate seal removal
- Lip seals, and Stuffing boxes
- Full range of Impellers
- Shaft and Impeller 316 stainless steel (other materials and shaft coatings available)
- Low headroom option available for tight spaces

Portable Mixer Selection Guide
The following tables provide a general selection guide for mild blending EuroScale 1 described as very slow to mild flow with miscible components and flat surface motion. For products requiring a higher level of agitation our application engineers will be pleased to advise on the most suitable mixer and Impeller configuration.
We will be more than pleased to advise on the most suitable mixer for your specific application.
